1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I consider my style to vary within the details blending aesthetics and functionality.  Finding the balance of form and space.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

It all starts by spending time with each client.  This in turn provides greater understanding into an individual’s sense of space and their connectivity.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

This is a very difficult question. The most influential, creatively, has been my mother. As a child she was always encouraging my creative independence.   Often our time was spent making our home warm, inviting and comforting.  Add to that, the amazing smells that emanated from her kitchen.   She taught me very early on that beauty comes to us in different forms; organic and inorganic.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I seek out the unexpected within community.  Looking to find a sense of place in material and pattern uses. Love textiles and masonry.  Many stories are told through both mediums.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

The truth is simple, hard work.  My underlying mantra “There is no room for failure” Look for growth in mistakes, let them go, and move forward with confidence and understanding. LOVE what you do, it makes a difference for all to see.  And lastly, be true to one’s creative self.  Success is not about finances, more so, it’s about courage to seek out your passion.
